Terry Bolland of Canoeing Down Under receives the “Olegas Truchanas Canoeing Award” for your excellent achievements during the 2010-2011 season.

This award is for an activity which best exemplifies the spirit of Olegas Truchanas. Terry will receive the award for his latest trip across Canada. He also received this award in 1983 when he did a 100 day expedition around the Kimberley coast.

Flat Water Intro. For beginners who want to try Kayaking. The course covers - safety, forward and reverse paddling, emergency stop, sweep (turning) and draw strokes, a basic support stroke and a capsize drill.

It contains lots of information, maps of every rapid and The Avon River Guide by Terry Bolland with Christmas fast approaching this is a great present for anyone you know considering taking part in the 40th year of the Avon Descent! The Avon River Guide is a must for all paddlers entering the Avon Descent or paddling socially down the Avon River. It not only has heaps of information, training tips, it also contains detailed maps of every rapid and has 353 excellent colour photographs that will give you an idea of the rapid conditions.

Another new book from Terry Bolland is called A Race Along the Way which is about Terry Bolland and Ed VanEers paddle down the entire 3300km Yukon River. They also took part in the longest canoe race in the world as part of the challenge. The book has a detailed description of the journey and 110 colour photos and 10 maps.
